"I first traveled to El Salvador in November 2005 leading a Walking on Water team for a Central America tour premiering the Noah's Arc, a surf movie with a dynamic story. I had met Salvador Castellanos and his son Marcelo from Villa Surf, earlier that year as we all visited CS Costa Rica. The Noah' Arc event was a true beginning for my mission and personal relationship with Salvador and his beautiful country. After that trip I made a number of surf mission trips, always partnering with Salvador who provided a rich and fulfilling mission experience and the optimal hospitality and coordination of the work at hand. As a previous director of Christian Surfers International for North America, Central Am and the Caribbean I can say that Salvador Castellanos is ultimate partner to have for surf missions. I am currently a surf missionary in Portugal and look forward to returning to El Salvador to work again with Salvador and people of El Salvador. Salvador Castellanos and his organization made our missions experience in El Salvador amazing. The accommodations are excellent; we had a gorgeous view of the Pacific Ocean from right off our balcony. The food was incredible and the guides and interpreters that traveled with us did a fantastic job. Salvador was amazingly helpful and set us up with lots of different opportunities to work and serve the people of El Salvador. We did everything from working with churches to serving in orphanages and much more. I would highly recommend a trip to El Salvador and working with Salvador Castellanos. We had such a positive experience with our missions trip that we are bringing two teams in this year!
